Germany becomes sixth main trading partner of Azerbaijan – AZPROMO

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 18. The
Azerbaijani-German trade turnover from January through September of
this year exceeded $1.1 billion, making Germany the sixth largest
trading partner of Azerbaijan, the country’s Export and Investment
Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev
said, Trend
reports.

He made the remark at the COP29 Azerbaijan-Germany high-level
business dialogue on ‘Green Transformation’ today.

According to him, as of October 1, a total of 191 German
enterprises were dynamically engaged in the Azerbaijani market.

“From 1995 through June 2024, the volume of investments from
Germany to Azerbaijan exceeded $871 million, with 94 percent of
these investments directed to the non-oil sector.




Azerbaijan has made significant investments in Germany, with the
total volume of these investments amounting to $592 million during
the reporting period,” he added.
