“In Canada, we presented Harry a bracelet with an inscription ‘Who saves one life, saves the whole world.’ And he wears it!” Andriy Stavnitser, co-founder of Superhumans Center, wrote in a Facebook post.

“This whole chain of events led to the fact that a member of the royal family, a person recognized in every corner of the planet, a person who devoted his fame and influence to strengthening the authority of veterans, came to Lviv to visit us,” Stavnitser added.

Ukraine has suffered at least 46,000 soldiers killed and around 380,000 wounded since the full-scale Russian invasion began in 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in February. According to different estimations, more than 50,000 Ukrainians have lost one or more limbs in the last three years of war.

During his visit to the Superhumans Center, Harry met with the Invictus team and civilians who suffered from amputations. The youngest survivor was 10 years old.

Harry said “it was absolutely mindblowing” how Ukrainians managed to organize surgeries, prosthetics supply and rehabilitation under one roof.
