This year’s NBA Finals is a rematch of the last time the Knicks made it to the championship series, way back at the conclusion of the 1998-99 season.

In that Finals, the Spurs defeated the Knicks in five games. Now, New York gets a shot to get its lick back, nearly 30 years later.

Regardless, whichever team wins this series will need huge performances from its star players.

Let’s check out the odds for NBA Finals MVP as of June 11 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

2025-26 NBA Finals MVP

Jalen Brunson: -120 (bet $10 to win $18.33 total)
OG Anunoby: +250 (bet $10 to win $35 total)
Victor Wembanyama: +390 (bet $10 to win $49 total)

Before the Finals began, anyone not named Wembanyama or Brunson didn’t appear to have much of a chance at this award, at least according to the early odds.

However, New York has a second star that has crashed the party: OG Anunoby.

Anunoby has moved to second on the board after saving the Knicks’ bacon in Game 4. New York overcame a 29-point deficit capped off by an Anunoby tip-in with a second left that gave the Knicks a one-point lead, and eventually, the win.

Anunoby finished the night with 33 points on 10-of-15 shooting, and in the Finals, he’s averaging 23.8 points on 58% shooting from the field and 55.6% shooting from beyond the arc.

As for the name at the top of the board, Jalen Brunson, he’s putting up 29.5 points per game, but shooting just 39.5% from the field and 34.5% from 3. However, in Game 4, he brought the thunder, finishing with 36 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals.

Lastly, if the Spurs are to overcome a 3-1 series deficit, it will likely be on the shoulders of their star Victor Wembanyama. He had 24 points and 13 rebounds in Game 4, but was just 9-for-25 from the field.
