2026 CFP Title Odds: Ole Miss Soars After Statement Win Over Kiffin, LSU

Week 3 of the college football season delivered another shake-up to the national championship odds, highlighted by Ole Miss spoiling Lane Kiffin’s return to Oxford.

The Rebels defeated Kiffin and LSU 32-24, earning a signature win against their former head coach. As a result, Ole Miss’ odds to win the national championship surged from +2700 to +1500.

Despite its Week 2 loss to Texas, Ohio State remains the favorite after responding with a dominant win over Kent State in Week 3.

Here is what to know about the oddsboard:

The Favorite: Despite its Week 2 loss to Texas, Ohio State remains the national title favorite at +520. The Buckeyes quickly moved past the heartbreaking loss with a dominant 59-3 win over Kent State in Week 3. With Julian Sayin and Jeremiah Smith leading the offense, Ohio State remains the team to beat.

Kiffin’s Return Spoiled: Ole Miss made the biggest move on the oddsboard after defeating LSU 32-24 and spoiling Lane Kiffin’s return to Oxford. Trinidad Chambliss delivered a signature performance against his former coach, throwing for 363 yards and two touchdowns. As a result, LSU’s odds to win the title dropped from +1100 to +1600.
