Steelers: +196
Colts: +210
Texans: +220
Raiders: +230
Browns: +310
Jets: +490
Chargers: +1550
Titans: +4400
Dolphins: +9400

Last Year’s Field: Denver (1), Patriots (2), Jaguars (3), Steelers (4), Texans (5), Bills (6), Chargers (7)

Comeback Season: The Chiefs appear to be back like they never left. Kansas City made it to the playoffs for 10 consecutive seasons between 2015 and 2024, but last year wasn’t its year, as it finished the regular season 6-11 and shockingly missed the postseason. On top of that, Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL in Week 15. Well, all of that is a thing of the past, as the Chiefs are 4-0 this season, including 2-0 in the division, with wins over Denver and Las Vegas. And while Mahomes has been good through four games, it has been newly-acquired running back Kenneth Walker III who has been carrying the load. Even with a bye this past week, he still has 537 rushing yards, which is second in the league behind Bijan Robinson. Walker is also averaging an NFL-best 6.2 yards per carry. Kansas City has the best odds in the AFC to make the playoffs.

Needing A Charger: The Chargers entered the season among the favorites to win the AFC. Now, after an 0-5 start, they are in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time in the Jim Harbaugh era. Los Angeles has lost eight straight games dating back to Week 16 of 2025, and Justin Herbert became the only quarterback in NFL history to start 0-5 with an INT and multiple sacks taken in each of his team’s first five games. The Chargers are now +1550 to make it to the playoffs.

National Football LeagueTo Make NFC Playoffs

49ers: -2500
Vikings: -460
Rams: -350
Seahawks: -215
Bears: -154
Lions: -150
Panthers: +110
Cowboys: +120
Eagles: +125
Packers: +146
Falcons: +148
Giants: +205
Saints: +380
Buccaneers: +430
Commanders: +590
Cardinals: +7800

Last Year’s Field: Seahawks (1), Bears (2), Eagles (3), Panthers (4), Rams (5), 49ers (6), Packers (7)

Gold Rush: The 49ers are off to a 5-0 start, with wins over the Rams, Broncos and now Seahawks. They are the first team since the 1981 Broncos to record three wins in their first five games against teams that reached a conference championship game the previous season.

This is San Francisco’s third 5-0 start under head coach Kyle Shanahan. In the previous two instances, in 2019 and 2023, the Niners went on to reach the Super Bowl. Brock Purdy has impressed, throwing 13 touchdowns and just two interceptions through five games, and the 49ers defense might be the most improved unit in the entire league. With the Niners strengthening their grip on the division, their odds to make the playoffs shortened from -750 to -2500.

Trouble In Philly?: The Eagles have now lost three straight games, each in more painful fashion than the last. After a 2-0 start, all seemed to be going well. Until it wasn’t. First, Philly got blown out by the Bears, who were led by their third-string quarterback. Then, the Eagles blew a 10-point fourth-quarter lead against the Rams in a game they had more than a 95% chance to win at one point.

But Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars in London took the cake. Jake Elliott’s field goal put the Eagles ahead with eight seconds remaining, giving them more than a 99% chance to win. A big kickoff return, however, set up Jacksonville’s game-winning field goal as time expired.

Philly is now are now favored to miss the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
